to play an active and positive role in the life of their school.

New Academy Council members have been elected from KS2 for the new school year.
Well done to all who were elected!

January 2017
Happy New Year from the Academy Council!

We have started a new project with the Gloucestershire County Council, which is all about making our school a safer place in terms of travel. We have started creating a 5 minute walking zone around the Academy to encourage parents to drop their children off in different places.

December 2016
Academy Council and the other pupils, who were lucky enough to go to the Houses of Parliament, had a brilliant day. We learnt a lot about the history behind the Houses of Parliament; we also took part in a workshop that was all about our voice and how we could use it to make a difference. Our local MP Laurence Robertson came to speak to us and answer all our different questions.

November 2016
We are busy preparing for our trip to the Houses of Parliament next month. In our meetings, we have been thinking about different questions we could ask our local MP.

October 2016
Academy council have been working hard so that they are ready for their first charity fundraiser. They are organising a 'Dress Dotty' day for Children In Need on Friday 18th November 2016.
Academy council representatives will be selling 'Children In Need' items such as Pudsey keyrings and bracelets at break time after half term. Look out for the posters around the academy!
